Vault: Media Tracker ("VAULT", "we", "the app") is a personal media tracking app for Android. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your choices.

Data We Collect

• Google account information — If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. Sign-in is optional. You can use VAULT without an account.
• Your vault data — The list of games, movies, and TV shows you add, along with their status, priority, notes, and ratings. This data is stored locally on your device. If you sign in, it is also synced to a private database (Supabase) so you can access it across devices.
• App settings — Your preferences such as theme, layout, and enabled categories. Stored locally on your device only.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect analytics or usage data.
• We do not serve ads or share data with advertisers.
• We do not sell your data to any third party.
• We do not collect payment information. The tip button links to Ko-fi, which has its own privacy policy.

Third-Party Services

VAULT uses the following third-party APIs to fetch metadata (cover art, ratings, release dates). Your search queries are sent to these services when you add items:

• TMDB — movie and TV metadata. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
• RAWG — game metadata.
• IGDB — additional game data.

Data Storage and Security

Local data is stored in your device's browser storage (localStorage). Cloud sync data is stored in Supabase and is associated with your Google account. We do not have access to your vault contents beyond what is needed to provide the sync feature.

Your Choices

• You can use VAULT without signing in. All data stays on your device.
• You can export and delete your vault data at any time from within the app.
• You can sign out at any time, which disconnects cloud sync.

Children's Privacy

VAULT is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, the updated date at the top of this page will be updated.
